The Fifth Chinese Youth Sculpture Exhibition

As one of the theme exhibitions of Suzhou-Jinji Lake Biennale, China Youth Sculpture Art Exhibition has been successfully planned and implemented for four times. The exhibition has united the majority of young sculpture workers across the country, and launched a large number of excellent sculpture works that are close to the pulse of the new era, thoughtful, passionate and warm, and has now become a national sculpture art exhibition brand activities.

"The Fifth China Youth Sculpture Exhibition specially invited Wu Weishan, member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, corresponding academician of the French Academy of Fine Arts, director of the National Art Museum of China, vice chairman of the China Artists Association and chairman of the China City Sculptors Association, to act as the academic and artistic master, and Wu Weishan, a member of the Sculpture Committee of the China Artists Association, vice secretary-general of China City Sculptors Association, and vice secretary-general of Jiangsu Provincial Sculptors Association, to be the academic and artistic director. Mr. Shang Rong, member of the Sculpture Art Committee of China Artists Association, Deputy Secretary General of China City Sculptors Association and Deputy Chairman and Secretary General of Jiangsu Provincial Sculptors Association, acted as the curator, and Mr. Xue Wengang and Mr. Fu Licheng acted as the executive curators.

The exhibition invites ten representatives of young sculptors, young theorists and young curators from all over the country: Ren Yanming, Shang Lianxia, Qin Chunhui, Chen Jian, Yin Wuming, Lang Ye, Wang Chao, Li Yan, Li Fengzhi and Wei Siming to form the curatorial academic committee, and invites the elite of young sculptors from various universities and professional institutions to participate in the exhibition through the organizational form of nomination, collective deliberation and targeted invitation by the members of curatorial committee, which is open to the whole country. Young sculptors from various universities and professional organizations will be invited to participate in the exhibition, and their innovative works, representative works and award-winning works of about 180 pieces will be displayed to show the artistic outlook of contemporary youth.

The young artists in the exhibition come from all over the country, and with different cultural perspectives and ways of observation, they express their concern for the times and their care for the present through the artistic interpretation of beauty in sculpture.
