September 6 - November 15, 2020

Buddhism, Confucianism, and the arts are all important parts of the national culture, and they also construct the humanistic core of the Chinese philosophical system. Chinese civilization is essentially an eclectic form of civilization, absorbing and developing various external cultures in the course of its development, and then fusing them into a more spectacular Chinese civilization with humanism at its core.
Since the introduction of Buddhism at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Buddhism has been highly esteemed by the ruling class and the literati, and it has left behind a lot of cultural heritage through the medium of art, which has been passed down and developed in Chinese society. Contemporary painting and calligraphy are still closely intertwined with Buddhism, either by incorporating Zen theory into painting, or by incorporating Buddhist meaning into calligraphy, resulting in a number of outstanding works that shine in the painting world.
This exhibition is divided into "Invited Works", "Smoke and Cloud Offerings", "Towering as a Mountain", "Courageous and Refined", "Special Recommendations", and "Special Recommendations". "Special Recommendation" five units, will invite more than 60 artists to participate in the exhibition of painting and calligraphy works 36 pieces (sets). Most of the exhibits are completed by a calligraphy and painting artist and a Buddhist scholar, this "painting and calligraphy" art form, Buddhism, Confucianism, the ideological concepts into one furnace, reflecting the humanistic core of the Chinese philosophical system, tolerance and positive progress, and work together for the revitalization of Chinese culture and progress.
