2016.5.20-6.19

The exhibition is led by Prof. Wu Weishan, director of the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) and president of the China Sculpture Academy, who is the chief curator of the Biennale. The exhibition consists of three parts, namely, “People Jie Casting Treasures”, “Nostalgia” and “Modern Creativity”, covering more than 200 works of exploration and innovation by many young sculptors in China over the past few years, reflecting the infinite innovations and dreams contained in Suzhou. Through the opportunity of the Biennale, the ancient water town and the modern city are realized to meet each other. With the theme of “Cultural Heart Building Dreams - Shaping Great Beauty”, the sculptures on display are youthful and diverse in style, allowing the nation's young sculptors to converge in Gusu to share in an artistic event, shaping artistic excellence in the spirit of culture and national sentiment. The success of the first two Suzhou-Jinji Lake Biennale exhibitions has been widely praised by all sectors of society. The third Suzhou-Jinji Lake Biennale has enhanced the new image of Suzhou and the Park.
