4th Suzhou Jinji Lake Biennale

4th Suzhou Jinji Lake Biennale

2018

The "4th Suzhou Jinji Lake Biennale" was successfully held in 2018, themed "Inheritance and Reshaping." The cultural and artistic activities included thematic exhibitions, academic exchanges, art education, industry development, and public participation. Focusing on three major themes—sculpture, painting, and design—the event featured multiple peripheral exhibitions and themed day activities, creating an art gala with an international vision and Chinese spirit. After six years of persistent effort, the Suzhou Jinji Lake Biennale has become a shining symbol of Suzhou's cultural and artistic charm, positively influencing the establishment of a good international city image and promoting the integration of business, tourism, culture, sports, and exhibitions in the region.

This biennale aims to extract contemporary, forward-looking, and global elements from Suzhou's rich cultural heritage. On one hand, it connects with the times, providing unique strength and perspective to the cultural and creative industries, and concretizing cultural value. On the other hand, through exhibitions, it facilitates a dialogue between Suzhou's traditional culture and the world, allowing for the sharing of a distinctive, open, and modern Chinese art event.
