Liu Jian Hua

Born in Ji'an, Jiangxi, in 1962, Liu Jianhua began experimenting with contemporary art in the late 1980s. In 2008, he introduced a new artistic direction centered on the concept of "meaningless and contentless," establishing a unique personal language within contemporary art. Liu is recognized as one of China's most experimental and representative contemporary artists. He has held numerous solo exhibitions both domestically and internationally and was invited to participate in events such as the 57th Venice Biennale and the 17th Sydney Biennale. His works are held in public collections, including the Tate Modern in London and MoMA in New York.
