Anna & Patrick Pouvach are a well-known French post-war and contemporary artist duo. Winners of the Prix de Rome in 1967, they spent four years (1968-1972) at the Villa Medici in Rome at the invitation of the then director Balthus after graduating from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs. From the beginning of that residency, they decided to combine their artistic visions and create art together.

Anna & Patrick Pouvach are historical and archaeological travelers and passionate scholars who express civilizations, cultures, anthropological time and the fragility of nature through different media such as photography, drawing on paper, resin and wood sculpture, neon, models, oil and acrylic paintings.

During fifty years of collaboration, Anna & Patrick Pwach have had solo exhibitions in several important institutions, as well as participating in major international events such as Documenta in Kassel (1977) and the Venice Biennale (1984, 1980, 1976).
