Andy Warhol (1928-1987), is regarded as one of the most famous figures in 20th century art. He was the advocate and leader of Pop Art, and the artist who had the greatest influence on Pop Art. Andy Warhol boldly experimented with various reproduction techniques such as letterpress printing, rubber and wood topography, gold leaf technique and photo projection. His works combined art with commerce and popular culture, and were a direct response to American popular culture at the time.
