Carlos Cruz Díez (1923 - 2019) is known for his innovations in kinetic art and Op Art, and is regarded as the "Founder of Op Art" and the "Father of the Art of Color Movement". He is a major artist who established the color system in the 20th century. His works are included in the permanent collections of many of the world's leading art institutions, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Tate Modern in London, and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
