Born in Belgium in 1964, Philippe Leblanc received his Master's Degree from the Ixelles Academy of Fine Arts in 2007 and currently lives and works in Brussels.

Fusing his shared vision as an architect and artist with his love of geometric abstraction, Philippe Leblanc is known for sculptures that are imbued with a rational aesthetic. With a background in architectural engineering, Philippe Leblanc's sensitivity to rationality and formal purity naturally led him to create art that was inspired by the development of Op Art, Kinetic Art and Abstract Geometry in the 60s and 70s. He abstracts the information he draws from various fields into the appearance of his works, which do not have a radical emotional expression, but rather a calm and restrained aesthetic tendency.
